These Terms & Conditions govern participation in BFS Buildathon 1.0, organized by BuildForStudents. By registering for the event, you agree to comply with the terms outlined below.
Participants must be students (college, diploma, or equivalent).
Participants must be at least 16 years of age.
Valid registration and payment are required for participation.
Registration is confirmed only after successful payment.
All fees are non-transferable unless approved by the organizer.
Refunds are governed by the official Refund Policy.
Participants must submit original work created during the hackathon period.
Plagiarism or use of pre-built projects is strictly prohibited.
Teams must follow submission guidelines and deadlines.
Any violation may result in immediate disqualification.
Participants must behave respectfully toward other teams and organizers.
Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior will not be tolerated.
Violation of conduct rules may result in removal from the event.
Participants retain ownership of their projects. However, by submitting a project, you grant BuildForStudents the right to showcase, promote, and feature the project on its platform and marketing materials.
Judging will be conducted based on predefined criteria.
Judges’ decisions are final and binding.
No disputes regarding scoring will be entertained.
BuildForStudents shall not be held liable for any direct or indirect damages, technical issues, data loss, or interruptions during the event. Participation is at your own risk.
Providing false information.
Violation of rules or misconduct.
Attempting to manipulate judging results.
The organizer shall not be responsible for delays or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, internet failures, government restrictions, or unforeseen emergencies.
Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless BuildForStudents from any claims, damages, or losses arising from participation in the event.
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Indian courts.
BuildForStudents reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued participation implies acceptance of updated terms.
